SSI Open Water Diver program provides students with the knowledge and training necessary to dive autonomously with an equally or higher qualified buddy, in environments equivalent with their training and to depths shallower than 18 meters. Minimum age: 10
Complete online theory via the SSI App.
Complete final theory exam (min. 80%).
Complete pool/confined water sessions and skills.
Complete water fitness evaluation prior to open water training dives.
Complete minimum four (4) open water dives and all skill evaluations.
Prior to arrival: Complete all academic sections via online App
Day 1 + 2: Complete all pool sessions, fitness evaluation and skills as well as final exam (opportunity is provided for questions on theory)
Day 3 + 4: Open Water training dives and skills evaluation
Upon completion of all requirements, a digital certification card will be issued to the student.
Students younger than 15 years old will be certified as a Junior Open Water Diver and must dive under the direct supervision of a dive professional or certified adult.
Course price includes 4 open water dives, all necessary dive gear, instructor fees and air fills. Course price does not include travel, accommodation and/or catering. For information on catering and accommodation click here
